ONTARIO - need help! (URGENT)

Hey guys! Been a long time since I've been here.
I work in a Vet Hospital in Clarksburg (Ontario) - about 2.5 hours from Toronto.

I had a client bring a Pitbull in that she found. She said that her neighbor saw the dog get thrown out of a moving car, and proceed to try and catch up to the car, to no avail. It went into this lady's yard and she has taken him in.

He is a sweet boy. He was very nervous with me to start but he warmed up pretty fast and is a real sweetheart. He looks to be maybe one year old or so. He is neutered.

I assume that since he's only one, he needs to be adopted out of the province? (Am I right?)

Either way, this lady is awesome. She loves him, and this dog loves her other three dogs. He tries to chase the cats. She does not have the resources or funds to keep a fourth dog, and she is at a loss. She does not know what to do. She is most likely going to need to put him to sleep because she cannot find anyone to take him and she just can't do it.

He's fawn and white, a really gorgeous guy. My internet here at work isn't the greatest so I can't upload pictures yet, but I will when I get home.

He sounds like a great dog. Have you tried the rescues in Ontario, mentioned in the thread below yours, Ador-A-Bull and Bullies in Need? Maybe they could help.

The lady who found her is torn. She really likes this dog, but if he is illegal (being as he's a year or so old) if anyone questioned her on him, he'd be taken away, would he not?

it depends on where you live, here they tell you to rehome/euth the dog and never follow up. But IMO it isnt worth it. Im sure adorabull or BIN could help ya out.

Such a sad story... Nice looking boy though. I hope you hear back from from a Rescue group soon. It'd be a shame for him to survive being tossed just to get taken away and put down by Animal Services for being illegal.

BIN has been in contact with the woman who found him. I do not believe they were able to get someone to temperament test him, and they suggested she anonymously surrender him to a local Humane Society.

However, the plot thickens. Today I received an e-mail from a woman who knows someone who is missing their dog, who fits the description of this guy. Considering how this woman came across this dog, it seems very odd. I'll keep you guys updated.

That is weird

If it does turn out that he still needs to get out of Ontario, I have a friend here in Nova Scotia who has breed experience and has been fostering for Lab Rescue and Boxer Rescue for the past few years that would be more than willing to take him in.
