License and microchip are each $10 extra, but basic shots and spay or neuter are FREE with the adoption!

That is absolutely wonderful to hear. There are so many awesome dogs there , lots of cats too. ( not a fan but they also need good homes) @Amie I was wondering about advertising for this great promotion how are you guys getting the word out... To my surprise there were a lot of people there when we adopted Porky the Pig!!! . Because you guys are in the middle of NO where. If I hadn't looked online for near by shelters we would of never of known you guys where right there. Anyway I sure hope lots of animals get great homes.

P.S. That Lonnie is a cool little looking dude. Now I would love any dog I adopted and I really liked a dog by the name of Reds that was there. I wanted a dog more like his color a reddish brown like fawn I guess. But ever since Pork I've fallen in love with black dogs with white chests and white socks .

It was a vacation day today, so no public, which meant the staff actually got time to work with the animals, which is the best part of our job. I took Lonnie out to play and someone commented on how happy and perky he was - he gets so depressed in his run, but outside he's just a ladies man, and was flirting up a storm. We played tug for a little and worked on a release, which he did quite nicely. He's got superb bite inhibition, is calm around cats and other dogs (even dogs that are sparking off him), and is a lover! Love that dog! Wish I could take someone else home -- someone great better get this guy!

She's doing well! I actually took her out just after I took out Lonnie. She did a nice job near other jobs, and really wanted to just bask in the sun all day. We had to use treats to bribe her back into the building when it was time to go in, but then once she was through the door she trotted happily along, leading me right to her kennel.
