Troy, puppy in Chesapeake, VA

Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

Troy, puppy in Chesapeake, VA

I figured I would post Troy here, just to get him networked a bit more. He is my foster for Ring Dog Rescue, so if you're interested, go to http://www.ringdogrescue.org and fill out an application. I'm located in Chesapeake, VA.

Here's what I wrote about him:

Hi, I'm Troy! I'm a 12wk. old (as of 9/25/10) pup who was seized from my owners when I was 6wks. old because they decided to leave me in a hot car while they went out to dinner, not cool (literally!). A nice lady at the shelter decided that I needed to get out of there to be safe, and wanted me to become a Ring Dog, so here I am! I'm a really pretty color, some would say blue and white, but my foster mom says it's almost like a silvered black in some lighting.

I have only been with my foster mom for a short time, but so far, she keeps telling me that I'm amazing and "cute". I have two friends here, and I really love playing with both of them. I'm feisty at times, but when they tell me "enough", I flip over on my back and then we all end up huddled together on their bed. My foster mom also has these things called cats that I think are pretty neat! I met these little people called "kids" today, and really liked them too!

I LOVE meeting new people; I used to be shy, but now I'll walk right up to anyone wagging my tail. Since I'm just a puppy, I'm not totally potty trained yet, but my foster mom wanted me to tell you that so far, I have had NO accidents in the house! Oh - she made this huge deal that I sleep through the whole night in my crate and never make a peep. I'm pretty mellow and go with the flow of things; if my friends are sleeping, then I'll sleep, if they're up and about, I'm right alongside them. My foster mom can put her hand in my food bowl and I just lick her, and I don't mind if my friends come near me when I eat either. I also love sharing my toys, especially bones.. they're a lot more fun to chew on when you have friends with you!

My foster mom says that I'm going to start something called training soon, so hopefully by the time I'm adopted, I'll know a few cool tricks. If you're looking for a great little puppy, fill out an application for me today!

Since I wrote that, he has just gotten better. He's really an awesome little guy. Doesn't do anything "bad"; doesn't chew, has only had one accident (and that was when we got 6" of rain in 24hrs., can't blame him for not wanting to go out!), gets along with my dogs and cats, SUPER willing to please.

Here are a couple videos of him:

I wrote a new bio for Troy today because I hadn't had him very long when I wrote the first one, so figured it needed an update now that I know him better. Can't believe he is still available!

Hi, I'm Troy! I'm an approx. 16wk. old (as of 10/21/10) pup who was seized from my owners when I was 6wks. old because they decided to leave me in a hot car while they went out to dinner, not cool (literally!). A nice lady at the shelter decided that I needed to get out of there to be safe, and wanted me to become a Ring Dog, so here I am!
I'm a really pretty color, some would say blue and white, but my foster mom says it's almost like a silvered black in some lighting. I'm neutered, microchipped, and UTD on all shots so I'm ready to go to my forever home now!

I've been living with my foster mom for a month now, and while I love it here, I would love to have a "real" home before the Holidays! I live with two other dogs, and two cats, and get along great with everyone! I play very nice, and don't mind sharing my toys, bed, or anything really. I really like kids too, and am very gentle with them. I'm not a mouthy pup at all, which I've heard is a plus!

I've really come out of my shell since I've been here and now LOVE meeting new people. My foster mom tells me that I'm one of the wiggliest puppies she's ever met, and that I don't walk, I just wiggle! I recently went to an adoption event at a Harley Davidson store and my foster mom was amazed that the LOUD Harley's didn't phase me one bit. I made a lot of friends there and got a ton of compliments on how well behaved I was.

I have yet to have an accident in the house, which apparently is really good. I love my crate, and jump in it every time I'm asked (my foster mom gives me a bone every time, so that helps ;) ). I sleep through the whole night and never make a peep. I'm a mellow, go with the flow kind of guy too. I like to play, but if my friends don't want to, I'll just curl up with them and go to sleep. I have no issues with people or dogs near my food or toys, and sit patiently while my food is being made. I don't chew on anything I'm not supposed to, and am just an all around "perfect puppy"!

I'm working on something called "training" right now, and so far I'm learning how to sit, lay down, leave it, come, and touch. My foster mom says I have a great work ethic, and am very willing to please for such a young dog.

If you're looking for a great little puppy, fill out an application for me today!
