Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

Stunning Blue Fawn Girl Desperately Needs Home Can Transport

Hi all,

My foster dog, Penelope, desperately needs a forever home. I thought I was agreeing to foster for a couple of weeks; that was a year and a half ago. She really can't stay in my house any longer - I have three cats, and she is cat-aggressive. All of our lives are one big pile of stress: Penelope is stressed (and bouncing off the walls) because she has to stay in a crate for 23 hours a day, my cats are stressed because there is a pit bull in the house who wants to eat them, my dog is stressed because Penelope's constant struggle to eat the kitties keeps her on-edge 24/7, even though my dog loves the cats (and I don't trust her to be out with the cats when Penelope's around), and I am stressedstressedstressed because I feel like I'm being both a terrible pet owner AND a terrible foster mom - I work 60 hours a week and just don't have the time and energy to have two adult female pit bulls in the house anymore.

Penelope's been listed on multiple rescue sites across the country for over a year now, and I can't possibly imagine why she hasn't gotten any applicants. She is the [i]perfect[i/] dog for a cat-free home - completed an 8-week-long obedience course, super duper extra sweet (she will do absolutely anything to please you), gets along perfectly with other dogs of all sizes, and she is absolutely stunning - the perfect catch!

Won't you please, please consider adding Penelope to your family? I promise you will not be disappointed!

Transport is available anywhere in the US - I am moving in the Spring and absolutely can not take Penelope with me. The rescue group I am fostering for is completely full and out of foster homes, so if she doesn't find a home before I move, her future is grim. :(

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Sierra

Almost forgot - she's spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped, etc. - completely ready to go! No health issues :)

I should not of looked in this thread! :( I have seen Penelope many times while looking on petfinder at Pit bulls. I also had no idea you lived in my area either(We live in Bartlett, TN).

Damn, she looks a lot like Mya. I wish I could adopt the pretty girl. Just out of curiosity, would she get along with dachshunds?

Will she be put to sleep if no one adopts her?

She's beautiful! I love her eyes. Are you having any luck since posting? I have a bitchy, bossy female pit mix or I'd raise my hand up in a second!! How much does she weigh? :inlove:

She weighs 50lbs i believe. I will have to back and look at her bio. It constantly amazes me how hard it is to get the really good dogs adopted out.

No updates - I had a couple of people locally who sounded interested in fostering, but they fell through :(

Rambler72 has been so wonderful with keeping my spirits up - thank you! And, yes, she is 51lbs.

Any other advice/crossposting/etc is much appreciated

She spends 23 hours a day in her crate? Does that mean she only gets an hour outside to stretch and potty? The poor thing.

Is this girl still looking for a home? How is she with kids? And where is she located? My hubby and I have been talking about maybe adding another dog, and well, I'm in love! :)

Loye, I will try to get a hold of Sierra for you. I noticed she does not check this forum too often. I have been trying to figure out a way to get this girl out of her current situation. The problem is I am in Oregon. The only caution that I was told about her is, she hates cats.
