Venus: Red nose pit bull

Venus is an amazing red nose Pit Bull! She is the sweetest little angel ever! She just wants love and attention. Venus is 2 years old (as of the New Year) and weighs a whopping 32 lbs. She has a rough story of neglect but has no physical or emotional scars. She's fun loving and easy going! If you want a cuddle buddy, Venus is up for the job! She is spayed, up to date on shots, crate trained, some behavior training, house broken, LOVES other dogs, cats, horses, older kids (5+) and long walks on the beach!

For an idea of her size, here is Venus with her foster sister, Sasha. Sasha is an average size Pit Bull but still on the smaller side of average. They are the same age.

Thank you Dogs4jen! i joined this forum about the time I got Sasha. She was rescued from a fighting ring 2 years ago. She's made an amazing recovery! Venus was rescued from the home that actually rescued Sasha. The girl got in over her head with too many dogs and they all started to suffer so I took Venus for her. Sasha and Venus actually lived together for about 3 months before I was given Sasha by the girl because she didn't know how to rehabilitate her after the abuse. it was kind of a reunion when I brought Venus home around Thanksgiving.

Muttkip- I only say rednose because daddy was an 80 lb blue and Mama was a 30 lb rednose. She def isn't a blue so rednose is the way I've described her. People seem to understand that faster than they understand anything else. Daddy was blue with a smokey muzzle. Mama was red with a white chest. Venus got a nice mix of both. Both parents were sweet!!!!!

more red than anything. Every once in a while I think maybe I see a hint of blue but then i realize she's standing next to something blue. She's got a darker red stripe down her back.

She's definitely not a rednose. Rednose only refers to the color of the dog's nose. A dog can have both rednosed parents and still have a black nose. That dog is not called a red nose. Blue nose is a dog that is blue or blue fawn or even blue brindle and has a gray colored nose. If a dog has a blue nosed parent but doesn't have a gray colored nose, the it is not considered a blue nose.

It's just the color, not an actual type of pit bull. The only TYPE or bloodline referred to sometimes is Old Family Rednose but that's a really old bloodline and I don't think there are actually any pure dogs left.
