Sweet Steel Magnolia - still looking

Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

She is stunning! If only it was the right time for us. We are looking at getting another dog in the next couple months--but after the wedding and the major work on our house is completed.

She'd fit in as well, since Gavin already needs a strict diet and can't have treats/chews either. Only difference is he is on the TOTW. I can't see why people would walk away just because of a diet need... It's so easy (and cheaper) to feed just a good kibble, and very minimal treats. Gavin can tolerate a treat once in a blue moon without having any issues. (He has very sensative stomach, and gets his skin allergies).

If I see anyone looking, I'll pass her info along. If anyone is interested up my way.. I'd be willing to help do a transport.

Maggie had her fourth surgery this week to remove a broken back molar - she's like a freaking puppy mill dog with all the problems she's had. Hopefully she will be moving to Florence SC this weekend.

Did she make it to her new home? I am soooo in love with her. I wish I could take another dog. I would drive all the way there to get her!
I hope she gets the best home that pampers her like a princess for the rest of her life!

She's there, I always hold my breath for the first week to make sure it's going to work. So far so good!

Maggie's back, thin (very thin) with long toe nails, dirty ears but surprisingly her coat looks pretty good. Her adoptive owners sent me an email saying they couldn't keep her because their son had developed allergies....whatever, they had her for almost 5 months.

She's glad to be home, has a full belly and has settled back in. She's not going anywhere unless it's the perfect home. Having her here right now puts me two over the county dog limit. When Rose the AB gets adopted, I'll just be one over. I do not want to keep her but damn, this is just too much. She's an idiot proof pit bull but I guess I gave her to the wrong idiot.

this is too thin for this frame, she's built like a small tank.

Maggie's still looking. Got an appointment with a doggie derm on Thursday but she's currently on a totally raw meat/bone diet to try and conquer the yeast. Since Venison is her meat, I'm sucking up to any and all local hunters in Richmond VA to try and get deer meat for the lil gal. Would love to get her back on a kibble as I am a vegetarian and having bags of blood and guts in my fridge is just gross. The cosmic irony is not lost on me. Anyway, the yeast is way down but she still gets the buildup between her toes and of course that "smell" about a week out of a bath. Her ears have been perfect since the surgery this spring - no problems at all.
