Honestly, I don't know. I'm kind of catching the tail end of this guy's story, so I don't know all the details. I do know that many many many rescues have been contacted to try to help find a foster or anything and all to no avail. I think he was placed by concerned citizens trying to help him out rather than a rescue.

Ugh. Trust me, the rescues around here are jammed, as I'm sure they are everywhere else. When I tried to place that Rottie puppy, not a single rescue or shelter would take her. One offered to advertise her on their websites if I agreed to foster.

Could someone foster by chance? Metroport Humane Society was willing to courtesy list.

I dont think anyone is volunteering you. I was just hopeful and asking if it was still an option.

So the new update is the person who was fostering him has pulled him from the shelter and got him checked out at the vet. I hope to find out this evening more about what's going on with this little guy. I haven't a clue who the foster is, how long they can hold him, ect. He's at least off the euth list, but his fate is far from in the clear.

Oh no, I wasn't irritated about that, I was irritated that I had already offered and now he is in this situation. (sorry if it seemed that way, I didn't even see your post)

My offer still stands: If he can get to southern Colorado or even Santa Fe or Taos NM I will foster him.

Thanks everyone for checking on this guy. He is safe at the moment, but I do know the person who is fostering him can't really handle him properly.

She did finally take him to the vet and he is heartworm negative and up to date on his shots. She has a few options on where to take him, but to be honest they aren't good ones, in my opinion. She is a 20 something blonde law student with lots of money. She has the resources to take care of him, but she is very busy and needs someone to guide her. Myself and a friend of mine are helping her, but I know she is still actively seeking a home for him.

I appreciate everyone's help and effort with PJ (that's his name now). I will keep you all posted with any details I have.

Stormi - I passed along the advice you sent to me to her. I will wait for her update.

Amanda- this is this same person I messaged you about. Talk with the girl that's got him and let her know he has a place to go. We just have to coordinate some drivers to get him there!

Update on this guy. He recently had Kennel Cough, Upper Respirtory Infection, and a tapeworm. He is being treated for everything and on his way to recovery. I am pretty sure the girl who originally took him is gonig to keep him, but I am in close contact with her in case she changes her mind. I believe he is in good hands with this adopter. She is treating him like he should be treated and he is very safe with her.

I opened this thread with my fingers crossed and SO happy to see that guy looking good and hear the news. Fingers, toes & paws crossed everything keeps going so well. YAY!
