South CA neutered male, no adoption fee

This guy has been sitting at the shelter for 8 months.He is neutered , trained , and the adoption is free. He is getting depressed, the vet said he barely lifts his sweet face now when people stop at his cage as he has been looked over so many times. No adoption fees is rarely a smart idea, but I think that the shelter staff is trying to find this guy a home so desperately they waived the adoption fee.
I have not seen the dog myself and while I do not advertise dogs I am not familiar with, because of obvious reasons and the rescue forum rules of PBF, I posted because I am more than willing to evaluate him myself is anyone is seriously interested. He is only about 2 hours from me and I know the shelter.

Oh, he is really cute. He looks about Booker-speed (and size!) in the video. Nine months in a shelter is a long time. It makes me profoundly sad to see dogs deteriorate in that environment. Sometimes a weekend foster situation can help, if the shelter is OK with it and has prospects for a real home. I like that they have video of him being calm and friendly with tons of eye contact.

I'm crossing my fingers for him. A couple came into my work today and they seemed interested. They were going to head over there in the next few days. He tugs at your heart strings...he's such a nice boy.

If someone can get him up to Canada I can foster him. I've got dog friendly dogs if he likes canine buddies and the facilities to keep him safe and separate if he doesn't.

Any idea how he is with other dogs? There was no info listed on whether or not he was good with dogs.

Nevermind - I called the shelter and he was dog tested upon intake in January with a medium sized female dog and did great.
