I would suggest everyone head over to Yahoo groups and pick a home-cooking group to join and listen in on. I know the membership of RawFeeding and RawChat has skyrocketed recently. Folks that have been doing it for a long time have a wealth of knowledge and could answer a lot of these questions.

I would say that Misskiwi and I both agree that you do need some guidence in making home-cooked meals.

Many people use a method that is 80% meat, 10% bone and 10% organ.
That said, it can be 80% per meal or 80% overall, in my book. I know I will be met with opposition, but I feel that many RAW-feeders get waaay to up-in-arms with measurements and specifics. I strive for a general balance. If I don't make it one day, I try to make up for it the next.

Also, you will find differing opinions, but I've never had issue with a switch directly to raw food. Cooking does little, IMO, but remove nutrients from the food (the same goes for food that humans eat, though we aren't equipped to handle raw meat like dogs are).
