Ears are Rr-rough

I've never experienced this before. It's weird!

Flowers ears have taken on this rough texture on the underside. It almost feels like a rash that has deflated and then is scabbed over. But none of that happened.

It feels like dry skin, but I don't see any skin coming off.

She's on Simplicef this week because of her staph infection. Never had that kind of reaction before etc.

The rough ears are called "cobblestone" and its usually secondary to skin infection.

So doea this mean that I need to head to the vet for a scraping or should the Simplicef take care of that?

Are her ears bothering her? If so, then I'd have her seen soon, otherwise just monitor. Any chronic irritation, bacteria or yeast can cause the cobblestone so there's no guarrantee the Simplicef will work.
