So the verdict is in and it is a Grade II MCT with clean margins. I really have mixed emotions about this. Obviously I wanted a Grade I with clean margins and technically this is next best BUT I am just waiting for the other shoe to fall. I always have the dogs that are in the minority, in the small percent that have some weird onset, mutation and die. The oncologist doesnt want to do a thing as his ultrasound was clear, nodes are tiny, and he is a healthy boy now removed.
He has done great post op and I would do it again in a heartbeat. A few days out he was feeling good enough to chase down Kal and hump her, dirty ol man. Back to playing ball and being the awesome dog he is. I just feel like I cant breathe as I just think there is something else going on. I do need to remind myself he has had two major surgeries in 30 days........give him time.
Thanks for thinking of me PBF!
