Some vets will make a house call if you ask then in advance, that way she can pass on peacefully at home. If your vet is able it might be worth looking into.

Enjoy your time with her. She is so lucky to have you.

Thank you thank you, you guys are so overwhelming with your support.

Xena's grandma brought her over some leftover roast turkey and she ate a tiny bit out of my hand then lay with her head on my tummy for an hour, she is so silky soft and sweet. Now she's tucked up fast asleep and peaceful with her head under her giant duck stuffy. Our little nieces sent over Christmas presents for their cousin Xena, she is so loved. David's ex girlfriend that the dogs lived with for three years has asked that we wait until she can make it to Belgium to say goodbye on Friday evening so we will try for that, I will see what the vet says tomorrow. I know Xena would get a lot of pleasure from seeing her and her little kids.
