Help!! Skin reaction.

I don't know what he got into but he is covered in bumps. You can see in this pict that his skin is red and irritated.

Should I be really worried? If its not gone by mornin should I take him to the doc?

He's really itchy and can't get comfortable.

This alone says a vet visit is warranted.
Have you given him benadryl?

I went to CVS and they had allergy antihistamine pills for pets and I got hydrocortisone shampoo. Im gonna watch him for the night and if he isn't better in the mornin then I'm takin him to the doc.

I hope he feels better tomorrow. Definitely need to find out what caused this, looks painful.

Any changes in food, did he get into anything in the yard, new plants, insecticides, etc? Is it just concentrated on his muzzle?

After you shampoo, throughly dry. Proabaly better to keep it dry than moist.

It's all over him. His skin turned red and he had bumps all over.

Well I woke up in the mornin and it looked the same so I took him to the clinic. By the time I got there it had mostly cleared up. They said it was a allergic reaction to something. It was hives. They gave me some steroids to give him. Once I got home I gave him one an he passed out on the couch next to me. A hour later and the hives were back in full force. But then faded away later that night. Hopefully these pills clear up the problem.
