Good luck. Bronx had his 2 week follow and got his staples removed yesterday. The Dr. said he was healing well.

well he is back home guys every thing is good and he goes back in for a check up in 14 days. Now all i have to do is keep him off the let for a long time.

well an up date i found a vet that will do the traditional surgery for 1300 and the tta for 2500.
and tomorrow i have some one coming to look at my motorcycle i had to place on sale so if all goes well bailey will be back in the vet soon to get the surgery ......fingers crossed .....and also i looked in to care credit i got the ok for 1500 from them.

With such a dramatic price difference, ask a LOT of questions about why... I recently heard of a vet in Minnesota who lost his license after performing an orthopedic procedure without ANY pain medications... as in most things in life, you often get what you pay for...

The reason they are so different cost wise is that the tools and the parts for the TTA cost waaaay more than the tools used for the traditional suture repair. I believe at our clinic the traditional repair is in the $1200-$1500 range depending on the size of the dog and the TTA is in the $2500 range. The TTA is a lot more of an involved surgery and takes more time to complete also so that is why you will see such a variation in pricing usually. But I definitely agree you need to check out your vets thoroughly and that sometimes you do get what you pay for.

Do you have a sling to help him to go potty and support him? If you don't use a folded towel under his belly.

yeah im using a towel he is doing very good the bruising on his leg is all but gone.
He just does not want to stop moving around and its killing me but he is doing good.

well guys i have very bad news after all the leg things bailey stoped eating had to the him in for the second time this week becouse of it and had to have exploratory surgery .........well he died on the table becouse of a bleeding tumor in his GI track thank you for all of your help guys.
im verry sad and dont know what to do i will be giving away some of his things if you guys know any good shelter or some one on the forum who could use the help please let me know.
