Cytology report back. They want more samples, using a different aspiration method. They didn't find anything indicative of cancer in what we sent in, but 'can't conclusively rule it out' as there was lysing of many of the cells. No one is sure what would cause the cells to rupture. A medical mystery. I think my vet keeps me around because I bring him bizarre cases. Tomorrow we will re=aspirate, re-check calcium levels and switch him to Prednisone. He's still drinking water by the bucket and peeing like a racehorse (yet has had NO accidents in his crate and has only peed on the rug once, when Steve got busy halving pills before letting out to pee (oops! That will teach Steve a lesson)
He's in great spirits and cute as a button.
