Buddy Girl needs some good thoughts.
Thanks everyone. I spoke with the ortho surgeon who fixed her shoulder and he thinks a brace wont be of much help to us because of all her other issues.
So surgery it is. Ughhhhh this is so much harder when it's your OWN dog.

Buddy Girl needs some good thoughts.
Poor Buddy.
She doesn't handle anesthetic or sedation well so she spent the entire night last night completely zonked. I suppose at least that way she was resting her leg.
This morning she didn't want her breakfast at all which is not like her. I think it was a combination of feeling woozy still and not being able to stand long enough to eat. I did manage to hand feed her enough to get her metacam and tramadol into her though.
This is going to be a long few weeks but I would do anything for this old lady. She is my whole world.

Thanks everyone.
Naturally, because the diagnosis isn't crappy enough, it's causing Obi's SA to flare up because I can't crate Buddy beside him. I contemplated moving his crate upstairs so they can be on the same level together still but he always flares up with any type of change so I don't think that would help. And because I have to pay for her surgery I can't afford to put him in doggy daycare.
I still can't get her to eat well either.
I just want to cry.

Finally got her to eat her whole dinner, and now she's vomiting. Very strange since she's had metacam and tramadol before no problem.
I'm really hoping it's a once off and that I'm sitting here awake at 4:30 in the morning and its just the hour making me paranoid.

Sigh.
Now she won't eat her breakfast. All she would take was a little piece of scrambled egg.
