Oh Val, those of us who love dogs like Tux often get the short end of the stick too. I'm so sorry that not only is he sick, but that trying to get him better is so scary for him.

That made me sick just reading that, I can't imagine how it must make you feel living it. I would be POed if the way Tux looks resulted in less than stellar care.

Breaks my heart. Hang in until tomorrow, Tux. Is he at least hooked up to IV fluids and IV nutrients to keep him going?

I'm so sorry that Tux has been having such a hard time.
When they send him home again, I wonder if they would be willing to have you do Cerenia injections yourself at home... seems like he is too nauseous to get the oral meds right now.

Sending positive thoughts! I hope everything starts improving! Poor Tux, must be so stressful on his poor doggy mind. That's one of my biggest fears with Dakota... he gets very stressed at the vet, I can only imagine how something like this would affect him.

Is there a medication that can be safely used on him? I know he's had bad reactions to some, could Valium help? Seems sensible-- would possibly be easier on him (and the staff) to safely medicate him for handling, vs struggling with him. I know you have desensitized him a ton but in an emergency situation when he's stressed and medical procedures may need to happen ASAP it falls apart.

Fingers crossed he's on the mend soon. IBD is a better diagnosis than lymphoma for sure. I didn't know that IBD could develop suddenly. Is he keeping anything down yet?
