Update. CRT and RBCs stopped dropping but have not returned to normal. Going to send out a tick panel Monday and make sure he hasnt been reinfected. His titers have steadily dropped since I got him and have gone through three rounds of Doxy. He has a titer for ecanis, bcanis and bgibsoni sooooo we will see how those are going. Would explain his bw but his platelets have done anything scary.

Bean is sick again, started with vomiting wed night and diarrhea. Vomiting stopped diarrhea continued through yesterday. Last night started straight blood and extremely painful.
Yesterday neg for pancreatitis, today positive.
HGE and Pancreatitis
Ultrasound at 1pm
No I am not ok, far far from ok

Hoping Bean is feeling better. Don't know his history, but our Lily suffered so many bouts of panc. and finally got her diet just right. She's been symptom free for 8 years. Hang in there.

Going to be a long weekend.

Ultrasound did not find anything too scary. Took aspirates of spleen to make sure his MCT had not met, didnt show any MCT but a reactive spleen. So he is just compensating for his drop in rbcs and hct. Another odd thing is that is stomach is not emptying.....no change to wall thickness just not emptying. No obvious obstructions but always a chance for neoplasia. Added in meds to speed up motility and will reultrasound on monday. If it hasnt we will be doing an endo and colonoscopy with biopsies.

He is still squirting blood and extremely painfull. Lots of meds on board, iv fluids running through weekend.

All tick stuff came back negative, I guess we kicked that

My dog, Sully, had issues with his stomach not emptying even after a 24 hour fast he would still have food in his stomach and he vomited constantly and we couldn't keep weight on him ... he was eventually diagnosed with delayed gastric emptying (where his duodenum wasn't functioning properly) and given Metaclopramide and a homemade diet of blended foods. He also had a couple bouts with pancreatitis early in his life and generally had a "sensitive" stomach his entire life.
