Susie's throwing up, with blood

Susie's hasn't committed in a while so I thought maybe the antacid has been helping but she just barfed up some foam and blood, so I'll be calling the vet tomorrow. I think maybe it's time to try one who can do bloodwork in house. I'm really worried.

I hope Susie feels better soon, if I remember she is your beautiful brindle girl. What was causing her to vomit before? How old is she?

You're right, she's our brindle "malamutt." She's probably eleven or so. I don't know what's been causing her to throw up, the antacid has been helping for the last month or so, but I haven't been able to figure out what's causing it.

Her blood work came back fine and her stool sample didn't have parasites, the vet I saw thought I should try the human generic of Zantac instead of the famatodine I was using and see if that helps. They do have someone coming with an ultrasound machine on the 22nd, but I thought I would try the Zantac first. I am so relieved that her bloodwork was ok though. I am impressed with the vet's office and I think I might switch, they seem a lot more advanced than my old one, although I am not used to so many people around. There's usually just one receptionist/assistant at my old vet's and I hold the dogs.

The Zantac seems to be working, knock on wood. I've seen only one more little spot of barf. I'm also dividing up her dinner and giving some to her later at night.
