I just got off the phone with the vet. The 2nd to last one on the right has slipped out on the upper part. They need to stay in for 1 more week. Vet said as long as the skin isn't gaping open I'm okay so we're just gonna leave it.

Another video, 8 days post surgery. Sadie is getting frustrated at being in puppy jail.

Yes! We will sleep upstairs or the first time in two weeks tonight. I think I will appreciate that more than anyone - with Violet being a close 2nd. Every night she tried to escape my husband and buried herself in my covers to stay with me. Poor girl. They are both mama's girls.

She spent the last 45 minutes outside working on her tan

How long should I expect to feel the staples beneath her skin?

er, not staples. Stitches. I doubt she has metal staples left in her abdomen.

After Ruby's spay ... they left one! Made me angry to have it removed 5 years later!

I think it's a LONG shot but was she intubated for her surgery? (thinking about her voice issues now). My husband had heart surgery and for 6 months afterward had a very raspy, with-a-cold-sounding voice. But that was pretty instant from the tube irritation and I think Sadie's voice change is very recent.... just thinking....

Yeah her voice change is recent, nearly 3 months after surgery.
