Hi Everybody !

Me and the wife recently adopted a 12 wk old american pit bull mix from a local shelter. He has been fixed and up to date on all his shots. We are having loads of fun with potty training and crate training.

Hi Everybody,
My name is Scott. I am a 39 year old married first time pit bull terrier owner here in hot and humid Savannah,GA. I’ve owned Shetland Sheepdogs since college. My wifey, Krista, is a 39 year old (and holding) special ed teacher. She has owned various mixed breed dogs over the years. This will be her first experience with an APBT as well. Needless to say, its going to be a learning experience for the both of us.
Our APBT is a 16 week old, black and white, mixed breed male. well mostly a male, after his last trip to the vet. We found VooDoo at a nearby animal rescue. We are currently working on basic commands, potty training, crate training and keeping him out of the kitchen.
Our interests include, movies, kayaking, spending time outdoors and cooking. We look forward to being active participants on this forum.

You'll find there will be a lot of temperament differences between your pup and a sheltie (at least the ones I see at agility), but like the sheltie, they are smart dogs that enjoy learning, and having something to do.
