My husband and I just adopted a very sweet little (8 mo) pit mix from our local shelter. We have named her Petra and can not wait to get her home and give her all the love and attention she could ever want. She is at the shelter awaiting her spay surgery, but we have been sneaking in every day to spend some time with her.
Petra was found in the center divide of our local highway. Someone pulled over ran across five lanes of the freeway scooped this little girl up and crossed back to his car. We are so thankful he was there to save her and I wish I could thank him personally. We are even more thankful that this sweet little wiggling lap dog is now ours.
Petra is the first pit mix we have owned but we have a lengthy background owning bully breeds. I use the term bully loosely because as I am sure you all know these so called bullies are just big babies.
