ok try this again.
hi. My name is Jet. I'm a 29 year old APBT owner. I live in the OKC area. my first dog was a Keeshond. i have also been around boxer, husky, and rots. i like the larger breeds but the APBT was the one dog i wanted but couldnt have as a kid. i love their unique markings, muscle tone, unquestionable loyalty, and i dont know if i've ever seen another breed with so much human-like personality so i knew this would be my next dog of choice. my goal is to have the one of many that defies every bad reputation that is associated with the breed.
since my first intro post the other day, i have indeed brought home my first APBT to the family. i done a bit of research, lots of looking, and tons of decisions were to be made. i wanted to make sure i could provide enough quality/correct care for such a dog. going in, i had this vision of a blue male with the potential to have bigger muscles than mine. but, looking among the litter i had to choose from, i ended up with the perfect tan female. i walked into the area where the puppies were being held, and she walked right up to me, sat down between my feet, and just looked up to me as if to say "here I am, let's go". right then and there the choice was made. she was calm, has light gray/blue eyes (instead of the golden brown) and she has great color characteristics. she is 8 weeks as of today 9/9/2012 and she already knows the commands "easy" when taking treats from the hand, sit, lay, "go to bed", and is making significant daily progress with the potty training. i also have 3 cats in the house, and they seem to get along just fine so far. well without further ado...here are a few pictures:
her name is "Icyn"
