My name is Colleen. I live in the Washington D.C. suburbs with my wonderful pups -- 2 pit bull rescues named Henry and Louisa, and a staffordshire bull terrier named Winnie.

I work as a production editor for a journal. I work at home, and my dogs drive me nuts pretty much all day. I have been around pit bulls most of my life. When I was a kid, my parents fostered a "ridgeback mix" (as they called her, which was always a joke in my family) from a local shelter who was pregnant and had been used as a bait dog, and after her puppies were placed, we kept her for many years. I grew up in the country on 10 acres with a menagerie of rescued dogs, that also included hounds, labs, and german shepherds, but I adore pit bulls.
