Dratted bumps! Too bad about the teeth situation - I bet they wont' do both together but fingers crossed that they can/will!!

Yeah I doubt it will be possible to do everything in one procedure since the lump has doubled it's size. Ugh... Nervewrecking.

Thanks everybody, I will update on tuesday. I was forced to go with a different vet this time because of money issues so I'm also meeting the new surgeon on tuesday, I hope everything goes well, I have trust issues with vets I don't know.

We were at the new vet today and she decided she's not comfortable doing both surgeries at once since the lump is quite big and really close to Brina's mouth. Plus her teeth are not very good, at least one will have to be extracted, but the vet said she will see if that's the only one once Brina will be on the operating table, she might need more teeth extracted. Brina always had horrible teeth. So we will remove the big lump and a couple of smaller ones next week on thursday and then after she heals completely we will go ahead with the dental surgery in two months. I just hope everything will be ok..

Here's two pictures of the lump I took today to keep track.. You can see it doubled it's size since August.





And if all of this is not enough... The vet informed me Brina probably has slight entropion on her right eye which already caused some minimal damage and will have to be adressed sometime in the future. I'll have to see an ophthalmologist for that.

Can this dog not get every single health issue there is? We need a break.

That would be great! Or maybe just find me a sponsor who would pay for all of this... I'm broke and I had to go to a different vet because of it which makes me even more nervous than I usually am before Brina's surgeries. She's going in tomorrow morning.

But she's been through four quite major surgeries already, what's one minor lump removal, right? She's a tough dog, she HAS TO be alright. I'll update tomorrow.

Ol' lady Brina is HOME and doing great.. Well she's still stoned, but she's sleeping it off Everything went smoothly, they took off ELEVEN lumps and bumps, the vet said she just took off everything she could find so Brina wouldn't have to go through more surgeries. There were mostly just weird little growths and skin tags. The biggest and most suspicious lump from under her chin will be sent off for more research, I will get the results in a couple of days. Thanks for your positive thoughts and well wishes everybody!
