Hi from North Jersey

Postby zippypinhead » Sat Jan 05, 2013 10:36 pm

Have been volunteering for 13 years at a shelter. We get many pit & pit mixes, I would have to say it is one of the dominant breeds that we see. I never realized prior to volunteering how sweet and lovable pits could be as well as smart. I was involved with training the first of 2 deaf white females years ago - this 'little' girl learned the signs for "walk", "sit", "lay down", "stay' and "good girl" to name a few. I logged in specifically to add to a thread that I noticed about the dummies guide to shelters/rescues/etc... I volunteer at a very unique shelter, it does not fall into your categorization so I though I would add my 2 cents here to hopefully spark interest.
