Mole?

So, this is a weird question -- but do dogs suddenly get moles?

Our pit suddenly has a small black mole on her nose that was never there before... it's not raised and it's not gotten larger, so I'm not sure it's something I need to worry about?

Lumps are always something that I feel should be checked out, not necessarily urgently but if it is concerning, it's always better to address it sooner rather than later.
