Hello guys,
I'm Eric from just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. I'm married and have two little daughters. I grew up a cat person, but thought a dog would make for a masculine pet in a home full of girls. Of course, my dog is a girl too though.
We adopted Piper from the humane society. I don't know about other areas, but the HS out here is filled to the brim with pit bulls. Piper was a three month old brindle pit with lab listed as the secondary breed. She is a wonderful dog. Super friendly, but a little clumsy.
As I said earlier, I'm fairly inexperienced with dogs as a whole, but I've been learning a lot. I did some research on pitbulls before adopting Piper. My experience with Piper has been exactly what the pro pit websites had described and thankfully nothing like the anti pitbull websites described.
Right now Piper is house trained and I've decided to start trying some obedience training. I'll probably sign her up for classes to show me the ropes.
