Hi everyone! When I joined this forum in 2004, I lived in GA and I met a moderator at my place of employment and he told me about this forum. Since then, I have lived in Lansing, MI and Rochester, NH. Now, my husband will be working at Cornell (Geneva campus) and I am looking at rescues that I can volunteer with and eventually, when we buy a house, foster through. I contacted Animal Farm Foundation and they didn't have any advice. I had worked with Pit Prints in GA when I knew nothing of dogs and she successfully placed a dog in a wonderful home for me, BUT she was a fraud and was closed down. Now, I am paranoid about honesty, standards of placement, etc... AFF seemed reluctant to say anything at all, perhaps a political move. I don't know the reputations locally, and if I did in the case with PitPrints, I would have met people who had strong feelings about her. I met one person that felt negative, but it seemed to be hearsay and differences of philosophy in dog handling. So, there are a few rescues in the area.
Does anyone have any experience with the following:http://www.pittyloverescue.org/http://www.recycleabull.com/
These two are the closest.
Thanks for any input!
