AWESOME!!!! Thats really really great. I usually tell owners not to expect to get back to normal again, so 30% is fantastic!

Have a dog on daily Prednisone lower dosage and did not see any shivering, even with post hospitalization greater dosage (pancreatitis and other on going issues).

I am VERY happy about your pup's CBC! Hope things only go better from now on.

Koda was doing so well that the vet thought he didn't need to have another CBC for 10 days. Went yesterday and found a couple of things. His PCV has gone up from 30% to 34% - awesome!

However, his white blood cells are back up and his platelets went from 418,000 to 9,000. Initially, they vet thought it was a lab error, but they ran it again and got the same results. She is contacting the specialist tomorrow for more advice on what to do.

His behavior is the best it's been since this all started, I just don't understand how his platelets could have crashed that badly. Any ideas??

I wanted to update this post as many of you had been so helpful in sending prayers and positive thoughts. Koda has been fighting this disease for just over a year now. He is alive and currently stable! It has been one hell of a ride to get to this point.

I know many other owners are faced with this diagnosis and the prognosis is terrifying. We have been very fortunate to have an incredible medical team behind us every step of the way - and a dog that is stubborn beyond words!

A year ago, I started a blog to chronicle our journey. I'm hoping it will help other owners in this position and give others hope that Evan's Syndrome can be managed.

Again, thank you to everyone for your support and kind words! I know Koda feels them everyday!
