Hey I'm Alex, 27 and from Colorado Springs. I just brought home an 8 week old pitbull girl, her name is Shelby. I bought her off craigslist from a family who said she wasn't meshing with the kids. Turns out Shelby was just teething and not necessarily being aggressive.
We have a 7 year old son and a 6 year old Australian Shepard, so we are trying to keep all aggression in check and hopefully nonexistent.
I have owned a pit before, best dog ever. I do remember going through hell to train him though.
A few side notes about me are that I'm an MMA fighter and bouncer by profession. I play the guitar and sing in a band, and I love to play poker and blackjack!

She looks pretty standard APBT to me but what about to you guys?
The person who sold her to me said she was a "red nose pitbull" but what the heck is that? Just a vague description of her breed mixes in with the "color" of her nose? (It would be a rare brown nose pitbull if you ask me haha)

Cuteeeeee!
"Red nose" is a stupid term that people who know jack about pitbulls use to describe the breed. It doesn't mean anything. If she doesn't have papers, you can consider her a pitbull-type or a pitbull-mutt. A freaking adorable one at that!
I never understand how an 8 week pup can't "mesh" with a family.
It does sound like she was removed from the litter too early however. Have you thought about doing a puppy class with her for the purposes of positive and proper socialization?

I think we are going to do a puppy class with her as soon as her shots are finished with. She's already got "sit" "lay down" "off" and "go potty" down so I'm interested in what else I can teach her to do at such a young age. I'll probably post a video because shes pretty smart!

Don't wait until her shots are done before you consider classes. The benefit of socialization starts much earlier than that.

So should I just go ahead and enroll her? Is the petsmart puppy class good? She has her first set of shots already taken care of, so will she be ok?

You can wait until the second set if you're in a high risk area. Petsmart is ok, but I bet there's better. Where do you live? Maybe someone can recommend a good trainer in your area.

Colorado Springs doesn't. Denver does.
