Are sardines ok to give to my dog now and then as a treat?

I did once but the nasty kisses afterward were bad enough that I don't think I will again.

It didn't seem to be bad for them though. They ate them ravenously.

The lady that pulled Doc for me In Alabama gives a can to every dog in the rescue at least once a week and it has wonderful results with skin and coat. Very quickly in the case of some really ragged bullies that have come through there. My dogs looooove fish anything. I use tuna or salmon.

I give sardines to my girls once every couple weeks. They love them!
Canned salmon too.
