Water your dogs!

As summer approaches, I just wanted to remind everyone to remember to make sure your dogs are drinking plenty of water. On really hot days I've found it helpful to spike Connor's water with a couple of tablespoons of Gatorade or milk so that he drinks it all. I'd rather have to take him out more often than deal with heatstroke and/or dehydration.

One thing that I do during the hot months is to give my dog more meat and also canned foods since they have more water. It kind of forces the dog to consume more water.

I regulary mix their dry food with a bit of water too since they get sea meal.

I mix more water with Sasha's food since she really isn't a big drinker. She is also weird about water, she will drink from the horse trough when it is freshly filled, or any of their water buckets but not from the le bistro we have for them. I haven't figured that one out yet. Thanks for the reminder Demo.
