I am not talking about buying different types of kibble based on what breed the manufacturer says its for.

That is exactly what I was talking about. Royal Canin, for example, now sells breed specific foods, and I think it's a joke. I agree that different dogs have different needs, but to draw a line between breeds as if they were different species seems really dumb to me.

the original question and concern was that the poop was sticking to the pavement---Sometimes adding ground up bone or letting the dog grind it up will "dry out" the poop. It will not stick at all. But the main thing to focus on is the balance of minerals. Too much of calcium or phosphorus etc is not good---just a guess [for the remedy]
