What's Up...
What's Up...
Hey. My name is Michelle and this pretty lil lady here is my girl Gladys.
My girlfriend and I rescued her last week from Canine Crusaders in Torrence, Ca.::: check em out, http://www.caninecrusaders.org and donate if you can, they rock!!!:::
We found Gladys on Petfinder.com. The woman at the shelter was great! She said she had a million phone calls about Gladys! Luckily for us, she called me back first!
I rapped with her for a while. Told her about us and our place and why we wanted a dog. She was excited to have us meet Gladys, so she held on to her for us.
When we met her, we fell in L O V E... She's 1/2 amstaff, 1/2 chocolate lab :::so they say:::: and when the sunshine hits her coat, it glows a beautiful auburn color.
She's been a sweet heart... a little nippy especially when she gets REALLY excited, but other than that we get compliments on how chill she is, for a pit.
She has a lil bit of localized demodex mange which we are taking care of. The vet suggested dips... Thanks to this forum and other sites I've resourced, I told them "NO". :::why would anyone subject their dog to chemicals that you'd have to protect yourself from???:::
We are commited to giving this girl the best life possible. We take her everywhere, teach her good manners around other dogs and show her lots of love.
She's never left home alone for more than 3 hours at a time... and sometimes my girlfriend takes her to work. I work at the piercing shop right around the block from our place, so I run home to let her out and give her some company.
I am so happy I rescued this little girl. She was a sweet surprise, a spontaneous descision and a good one at that!
She's theething... I've found 3 so far.... and yes, I save them.
Well. That's our story! Thanks for listening.
