Also from MA (western part by Springfield). Rescued 2 pits and also rescued a rottie from another shelter. All are GREAT dogs.

Wife did rottie rescue for about 5-years and did pit rescue for about 1-year. She stopped due to not having enough time for work, family and dogs (our own).

Only problem is the wife wants to take in all the lost dogs! Not enough room. If we had a bigger house, I would let more have a loving home!
