I've been contacted about a pit needing a new home immediately.
I'm not a rescue person, I'm not at all set up for that, but I don't
mind helping out from time to time. He has until Monday at the
latest, he was abandoned by his owner and the people who have him
are facing eviction if they can't get him out of there by Monday.
The humane society by them euths pits immediately and the only no
kill shelter won't take them. He's an absolute darling, well
behaved, 2 1/2 yrs, neutered, ears done, etc. He has a good weight
pull temperment, trainable and eager to please, and in really good
shape, especially for being solely a pet. He's currently in
Rockford, IL, but I'll be happy to bring him up to the Milwaukee WI
area or any other reasonable location if someone has a good home for
him. I can't keep him myself permanently (my mals would never
accept him) but could hold him for a short time. Feel free to email

Which dog is he? I don't see where he is anywhere on the site...

My whole extended family lives in Rockford, not that they'd even consider a Pit Bull because they're closed minded, but 2 of my uncles are landlords up there. Just makes me wonder...

No, I'd hate to call her and find out where the people lived and find out it's one of my uncles properties. My father's entire side of the family minus himself and one of his brothers (my favorite uncle) is a closed-mided group of rejects. Trying to tell any one of them to check out the dogs, they'd tell me to get bent. Hopefully someone gives that doggie a home...
