My .02 is that they get enough saturated fats anyway, so I use olive oil in the kibble with Daisys ocassional dry skin and have had good results. Raw eggs help to.

Undefined "vegetable" oil(usually mostly corn oil), safflower and sunflower oils have all caused problems. Back in the late 80's early 90's it was discovered they caused allergy type reactions, dry flakey skin, and the formulas had to be changed.

Canola, olive, and flaxseed oils, seem to work fine. The dogs like them and seem to tolerate them well.
