Springpole jaw jitters?

Postby Boo439 » Mon Jul 19, 2004 1:45 pm

Hooter is a FREAK on the spring pole. She desires it like nothing else. If I let her have it for a few minutes, then take her down and make her wait, she bites, or her jaw kind of chops as she stares down the rope. Does anyone else's springin' pitty do this? Or is she just obsessed? lol

We don't have any that do that, but Crash does his little "screaming" act if he knows someone else is on it and he can't participate. It's not typical Pit Bull squealies, it's a very bizzare and and loud noise he emits to signal his extreme disatisfaction with the situation.

Connor does this. We call it "chattering". I have seen it in high prey drive Rotts as well. When they come off a sleeve bite and are put into a hold and bark, they will sometimes chatter for a little bit while staring at the sleeve.

Yeah! Chattering explains it better. She goes just about insance when I make her sit and stay until I say it's okay to get it. It's pretty cool :)

Tyranny does that often, usually when she is mega-hyped in prey drive. she will also squeal like a stuck-pig when she wants the bite, and is watching another dog get it. I expect a lot of that tonight, 2 weeks without training, and no biting!! :wow

My cats used to do it when they couldn't get at the birds/squirells.

My cats do it all the time, too, but I never thought dogs did it. The cats make noise. Hooter just chatters without noise. Silent, but deadly. (and not like the fart lol )

My dog does it with her ball in the park. I wouldn't say she has over the top prey drive... she chases birds and squirels a little bit... but she kinda jogs after them. But the ball she's serious about.
