A possibly preggo girl, that is. This is Josie:

She was a stray and somehow she stumbled across the path of a feral cat rescuer in NJ. Feral Cat Rescuer can't keep her and does not want to send her to the pound to her certain death. And to top it all off, Feral Cat Rescuer thinks Josie might be pregnant. What do you think? I don't see any swollen nipples, though Josie looks a bit tubby for a stray.

I don't like to ever commit to helping a dog I can't meet first or have a pit bull savvy person meet. I was hoping someone in NJ might be able to meet with Feral Cat Rescuer and let me know what Josie is like. She sure looks cute.

I don't even know where the heck we would put her, but at least I would be able to find out if she's got a winning pitty personality that would make her suitable for adoption. I'm still trying to find out where in NJ she is. But I'd love it if someone could meet her and give me their impression of what she is like . . .

How did I miss this? Is this why you asked where Old Bridge is?

I'll be happy to go and meet her for you, I'll even meet you half way with her. I don't know much about dogs though  , but I'll be happy to go take a look-see :))

ya know, i might take you up on that offer. i don't know a lot about this girl, but they keep asking for help to get her out of the shelter. the one thing i am very concerned about though is whether or not she is a typical "wiggle butt," happy to see you the second you walk through the door kind of dog.

they haven't exactly been easy to get good info from yet, though, and they are sloooow to get back to my emails. i'll let you know if they finally respond to my request for a quick in-person evaluation . . . they keep telling me they've evaluated her already and she's ready to go, but i want someone who is familiar with pitties to get a look at her before i take it any further.

To the best of my knowledge, Josey is going to be placed with Smilin' Pit Bull Rescue in Ct.

I was told last week that she was going to be adopted out, which scared the cr*p outta me--who adopts out a pregnant pit bull, yikes! But then I heard the person who was going to adopt her was a BYB and the ACOs were working on getting her into a different rescue. I tried to see if they needed more help, and they said they were going to talk to Smilin'. I talked to Smilin' guy myself and he wasn't going to be free to take her till today . . . so tonight I'm going to call tonight and see if it all went well.

Well, things didn't go as planned at all, but Josey is safe. She's with a rescue woman in Jersey, I'm told she's really sweet and loving and all's well. Thanks guys for offering to help.
