New Baby Girl

Hey guys this is the newest little girl to our rescue and is being fostered by my mother. She is about 6weeks old. She was kept in a very very small dirty crate abd she was very malnourished. She also has about 15 cigarette burns on her. Because of her terrible treatment she has sort of needed to learn how to walk again. Right now she is taking lots of naps in total comfort and trying to gain her strength back. She is incredibly sweet and will always curl up in any available lap. When i read, and see things like this, i really HATE people :twisted:

Yet, all i have to do to get over it, is read about people like YOU, who take in these dogs..thank god there is hope for the human race..

She is sooo sweet!!!!! :inlove:

It just makes me sick that people can be like that....I hope she finds the forever home that she deserves. She is so sweet. I have to stop reading about stuff like this. :crybaby:

A reporter from a local (small) newspaper has agreed to do a little story on her. She's going for a photo shoot tomorrow. Our rescue has been very fortunate to have had a lot of community support. Newspapers do articles for us, local businesses sponsor booths for us, etc. My moms says she's pretty lethargic and doesn't have much of an appetite. I'll keep you updated!

Poor baby. I'm glad the community is getting involved in what you're doing. She's sooo adorable that I'm sure she will find a wonderful forever home. I hate the people that would do such a thing to a beautiful pup.

What in the world would even make a person do that to a dog, especially a puppy who cant even attempt to defend herself. I'd love to see the person who did that behind bars. That's just horrible. Not to mention the pit that was put on the barbicue grill...that almost made me cry. I woldnt want to find out who did that type of thing to a dog, because he'd probibly end up in much worse condition than the dog. But, Thanks to stories like this i've been compelled to rescue a pitt myself. I havent found the right one yet.. Right now i have a beagle who has had 4 near death experiances and I've been told by the vet 3 times that he wouldnt make it, and every time... I got him back to health...about 4 weeks ago, he wouldnt heat, had 70% liver damage, and wouldnt drink. He lost about 20lbs also...skin and bones. Luckily I tryed over 30 different foods to find one he would even try...Come to find out our local party-store/pizzaria breadsticks where the food of his choice, and a special vitamin mix for water in the strawberry flavor he would drink...he's back to health now tho...playin tug-o-war all day he can actully pull me off the chair when he wants to

I just love takeing care of dogs healthy or not... I'm hopeing I find a pit soon tho, I'd love to have another doggy

I'm looking for a brindle pitbull that is good with other dogs and kids...and is extremely social. I want to be able to take him/her for car rides/walks all day, and and then have him sleep on my feet keeping them warm all night. I used to have a husky that would sleep at my feet but he ate mushrooms in my backyard and died... I'm quite shure thats what happend to my beagle but i've been doing the best I can at making shure they are gone...but as all of us dog owners know... If a dog wants something he'll find it!! I've actully seen my beagle on top of the counter on top of the microwave with the cabinet open eating cheerio's we have yet to figure out how he got up there, how he climbed ontop the microwave, and even how he knew enough to open the cubbord door to get his cheerio's but it's one of thoes things you always remember... Well if you know anyone with a pit in either michigan or louisianna please let me know!!

You guys are so great for saving her - Poor little doll... :bowdown:

I wouldn't like to see the person who did this behind bars or getting 'help' - I'd like to see them held down while someone burns them with 100 cigarettes - In their eyes!!
