Quick question - I did a search but only found topics with that damn 'tongue' emoticon!

A close family friend raises cattle, and once a year slaughters a few to split up between everyone (it's cheaper than buying from the store!). My parents bought a 1/2, and gave some meat to my boyfriend and I. No one in my family eats tongue, so they secretely pawned it off on us.

My question - would it be good to give to the dogs raw? Does it hold any nutritional value, or would it just be a good snack?

If I missed a thread where this has already been discussed, please point me in the right direction!

I've had tongue, it's delicious. As far as the dogs go, it's good for them and they'll love it. It's very tender.
