More problems with the municipality and now my own dogs are at risk - all rescues must go ASAP!!!

If you can foster, if you know of someone who's sitting on the fence about adopting a dog, or if you know of a rescue who would be willing to help some of these dogs out please let me know ASAP at forpitbulls@yahoo.ca

This is where we stand right now - I have SEVEN DAYS to remove ALL dogs from my property. Right now that leaves SIX rescues that MUST BE GONE!!! My personal dogs will either have to go into boarding and/or move out of the jurisdiction with me until the municipal by-law officer inspects my property and deems that I have dissolved my kennel and that I am no longer in violation of the by-law. After that time I will be allowed to tag and keep on the property only THREE of my own personal dogs.

All these years I've been helping other people's castaways and now my own dogs are getting screwed because of it. This SUCKS!!!

IF ANYONE CAN TAKE ANY DOGS IN THE ONTARIO AREA PLEASE EMAIL ME ASAP

Can anyone please help at all????? ...this poor lady was the one that rescued the WHOLE litter before and saved all thier lives...she has helped so many people and dogs in the past...now she needs some help in return..please crosspost or anything you can think of?...

I e-mailed saying I would take Dottie, if she was willing to fly her. I've wanted Dottie since the day she took her into rescue (I think this is fate...) but sadly haven't heard a word back...

I imagine she's scrambling and being flooded hopefully with e-mails! Anybody know what the status is at this point.

This is the email she sent me today....



Hi Kara,

Basically the municipality that I have lived in for several years has decid
ed to crack down on the people who are zoned residential and have multiple
dogs. There was never a limit to the number of dogs anyone in this area wa
s allowed to have but now they have implemented a bylaw that prohibits the
number of dogs to 3.

They have decided to label anyone with multiple dogs a kennel which makes m
e in violation of their zoning laws as you are not allowed to operate a ken
nel unless you are zoned agricultural.

What I have to do now is remove all dogs and all traces of dogs (kennels, d
og houses, dog poop, feed barrels et cetera) to show that I no longer have
a kennel. Once the township is satisfied that I have complied with their o
rder I will be allowed to have 3 of my dogs licensed to be on the property.


Because I rescued dogs for several years I still have 6 rescues looking for
homes (all spay/neutered and most are current on vaccines,) as well as sev
eral of my own dogs who originally were rescues but were just too difficult
to adopt so they became personal dogs. (One is blind, another is deaf, on
e has bad seperation anxiety etc...my own dogs are basically the dysfunctio
nal ones LOL)

If the LHS would be willing to take in the rescues I would be the most grat
eful person in the entire world. I've never been in a more difficult situa
tion in my entire life and the safety of the dogs here is my biggest priori
ty right now.
