I finally gave deno another bath last night because has this awful donkey like smell coming from his muzzle around the nose.. so i bathed him and yayee he was all clean and this morning the smell is back. its really gross. a dull.... sour.. smell.. gosh i cant even explain it.. rotting mushrooms?? i dont know!!!! any answers as to why his muzzle would be smelly?

What does he eat? Is he a puppy?

He could have a bad tooth...

5 months tomorrow! he eats Canidae... and this has just started withen a week or week in a half. ill check his teeth. how can u tell if its bad.. he has almost all his adult teeth. the back molars are almost in and he doesnt have his k-9s but where the adult teeth are.. the baby teeth have all fallen out.

It may be hard for you to tell... but be sure ALL adults are out... teething can cause a stanky mouth (smells kinda bloody sometimes).

Bad teeth can definately cause a horribly rank smell. My cat had an abscessed tooth a few year ago and her breath just smelt like sh#it. :yucky:

I didn't detect the tooth, (cats are definately harder than dogs) but the vet sure did. We had it removed and she's smelled sweet ever since!

My dog Pete had one of his puppy teeth go dead and had to be removed, so teeth problems can definately happen even when they're young.

Well, sometimes "hotdog" breath is a sign that he may have worms. Maybe take a fecal into the vets?

its not coming from his breath at all though. there's a difference. i smelt his breath then smelt his muzzle where his whiskars are. that smelt bad.
