Just got back from visiting Izzy at the shelter...what a total BABE she is!!! :inlove:

For those of you who don't know me, which is the vast majority of you

, I am the main rescue point-of-contact for the SBT Club of Canada. My reason for going was to support BIN in their breed assessment of Izzy, which will hopefully expediate her adoption :thumbsup:

As well, the SBTCC will assist in her placement if it is requested of us :cheers:

Anyway, it is my belief that Izzy IS most likely a Staffordshire Bull Terrier! She is quite large for a SBT...probably 17-17.5" and I'm guessing at between 38-42 pounds (I'm not so hot at guessing weights!!!). She is, IMO, quite balanced with regard to the standard and does exhibit good breed type. Of course, with a dog with no history, we cannot guarantee that she is a purebred but she does have a pretty good likeness.

I don't know much about the ILP# (AKC) or PEN# (CKC) process so I can't really comment on whether or not this status could be obtained on Izzy. That said, there are many other dog sport organizations that openly accept unregistered or mixed breed dogs that are MUCH more fun than AKC/CKC, are MUCH cheaper, and are not so...ummmm...stuffy... lol

I needed rescue to take her on, thanks once again to Bullybuddies for your help!! :peace:

She will be heading out in the beginning of august, and we are hoping for plenty of pics once she arrives safe and sound.

In the meantime, some pics of Missy would be nice

Yahh!!! for Izzy. So happy she is getting out of the shelter she deserves it! Thanks to Kim for looking at her and making her ID, I know you just made Spurby very happy
