My doggie recently got bit and has a scratch on the inside and outside or her ear, but not deep or big enough for stitches. Best remedy is like humans keep it cleaned, daily washing with warm water & soap. You can use hydrogen peroxide to clean it out and small amount of neosporin like humans. If you notice infection with severe swelling than consult with your Vet.

Also, only use hydrogen peroxide for the initial cleaning. If you continue to use hydrogen peroxide after that, you will remove all of the repair-work that the body has created, and thus prolong the duration of a raw wound and increase the risk of infection. (Same applies to human beings)

Use hydrogen peroxide for the first cleaning and then use betadine for maintanance.
