Just a little update, Izzy will be flying out to BC tomomorrow(sunday) finally leaving this BSL hell and into safety, thanks to everyone who helped with her rescue

We are so excited, we can't wait! I went to the pet store today and got her a leash, collar, kong, and some kibble (to eat while I transition her to a raw diet). It was all I could do not to buy out the whole store, there were so many toys and cute things for her to wear. I'm know I'm going to go nuts when she gets here, so I've already set a budget for myself.

I haven't bought dog kibble in over 4 years, so I bought Timberwolf because the ingredients looked OK to me.

I will update as often as I can, thanks everyone for your support.

I think I'll have an Izzy-Walk this week, then anyone can come along and meet her. We're moving before Pits in the Park. Izzy will be the perfect dog for BSL education.

Just thought I would update this thread, many moons later. Izzy, now named Granger, has lived with me for the last 6 years and has been a fantastic little dog. Everyone's best guess has always been that she is an SBT/APBT cross (I also later heard of intentional BYB crosses of the two), and I jokingly call her a "Pitterstafford". I did the Wisdom panel DNA test on her for fun (I got a deal as a vet), and she came back as "50% Staffordshire Bull Terrier" and the other half showed some DNA from English Bulldog and Bull Terrier. Wisdom Panel does not use any APBT DNA (on purpose, to avoid it being used against unknown mixes for BSL, etc), and my best guess is that the bulldog and bull terrier genes were the closest match the computer program could find.
