Why buy from a breeder when there are plenty of homeless pups in shelters???

URGENT -- Hamilton, Ontario

It seems like the Hamilton bullies are in danger :( I really wish I could pull and do transport, but I can't.

>There has been an influx of Pitbulls surrendered to the shelter within
the
>last week or two and they are running out of time. Two of these
lovely
>dogs will be euthanized on Monday if I cannot find a home or resuce,
if you
>or anyone you know has contacts with a reputable pit bull rescue who
has
>space please let me know ASAP.

Can any one help... I will forward you to the appropriate person.

PLEASE e-mail me private, as I am on digests, and don't get messages
sent to
lists right away... this is URGENT!!!

Does anyone have info about the individual dogs? Are they good with cats, etc?

I am in Hamilton and can't adopt right now, but I could foster a dog that is okay with cats while we wait for transport to be arranged to a rescue, if a rescue is found. I may be able to find others who can do the same.

The problem is that I do work during the day (though I usually go home for lunch) so it would need to be a dog that is ok being at home during the day.

Not sure if that helps...but it's the best I can do right now.

I'm going to visit the Hamilton SPCA after work today (5:30 ish) to see what the situation is (how many pitties they have, what their needs are, etc).

Found some more info on them, they're not the dogs I was thinking of, but they still need help!

>"Faran" is a five year old female (possably already fixed), she was

From the sounds of it, I believe these dogs are under the control of Stoney Creek- Hamilton Animal Control, NOT the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA, but I don't think it'd hurt to get in touch with them to confirm this.
