VA - URGENT/ADOPTED 5yro Magnus needs out TODAY - ADOPTED

I realize this is absordly short notice, but I couldn't post here till I had actually met this boy. I've met him twice now at his Vet's office in Springfield, Virginia.



Magnus is 5yr old, neutered, UTD, and was dumped at his Vet's office by his owners after 5 yrs without any explanation what so ever.

I got word of him on Wednesday, met him on Thursday and then again on Saturday. He knows sit, down, shake, and walks very well on a leash. He paid NO attention to 2 small dogs who came into the yard on Thursday and didn't seem to have much interest in playing with at stick.

Saturday, in trying to offer treats, he refused them in lue of kisses for me. He's a super sad boy, resolved to staying in his Kennel, BUT the owner of the pratices says he's out of time TODAY after 6PM.

Please if you can help in any way possible, it would be appreciate! I'd be willing to drive him, within reason, to you.

Sadly, if no home is found today, he will be euthenized. The owner of the practice isn't willing to give us more time and I only found out about him Wednesday.

All the groups in our area are completely FULL, I've exhausted all my 'can you help phone friends' and I've posted out on myspace and again this morning (2x) on Craigslist.

We had someone late late Saturday night interested with a rescue spayed Pit female, but I can't reach her now.

I'd drive to New Jersey!!

Dr. Burman has been his Vet now for 5 yrs, she even did his neuter. So yes ma'am, he's current on all shots and heartworm.

Ok, now I'm ticked!

Dr. Burman and the vet tech Megan aren't in the office right now and the last 2 folks who called about Magnus were told he was extremely dog aggressive and they'd not turn him over to a home with other dogs.

NOW, that is NOT what was told to us, nor was it the type of temperament we saw Thursday when he was in the same yard as 2 Shi Tzu mix dogs who barked at him. He literally ignored them.

Either they want my help or they don't, my heart is breaking for this fella! He loved up on me and gave me kisses.

I just got off the phone with TD and he's spoken with Magnus' vet and is satified with offering Magnus a home!!!
